Jane Tonks lives on Wiradjuri Country, Orange, NSW and has a Diploma of Fine Arts & Printmaking Certificate through Western Institute of TAFE. Specialising in contemporary landscape painting, Jane seeks out natural environments to inform her arts practice. Jane has held four solo exhibitions, participates in group exhibitions and has received several awards including Winner - 2020 Calleen People's Choice Award. Jane participated in 'While the World Waits', an Arts Out West touring exhibition, with the final show held at NSW Parliament House in 2024. Jane was one of eight Artists commissioned to create a body of work in response to the paintings of Clarice Beckett in the National Gallery of Australia collection. The exhibition, "Conversations with Clarice Beckett' was shown at Orange Regional Gallery in 2024/2025.
Jane has an upcoming solo exhibition at Orange Regional Gallery from January 2026 - March 2026.
