Collection: Josephine Jagger-Manners KNEE DEEP

Knee Deep is a series of snowscapes by Josephine Jagger-Manners.

Josephine grew up in a coastal town in North England which bordered onto the North Sea. Winters were harsh with frequent deep and icy snowfalls. She recalls the area being transformed into a fairyland of white fields, the snow covering most of the vegetation and reflecting the colour of the light at different times of the day.

As a child, she would delight in plunging knee deep into the snow and being fascinated by the patterns in the fields as the snow melted.
