Where was it we were going when we decided to stop and set up paints? That dusty road that opened up into this view of the Dabee Hills somewhere near Kandos. The Coomber Melon Range that broods over the landscape and mountains that spread their geometric shapes across the horizon, names that suggest the shapes… Church Mountain, Baldy Peak and Haystack mountain. This was a good road to find myself on.
