Change in the air

Our trees light up in autumn, fiery foliage everywhere we look. It’s a beautiful season of change and being farmers, we’re constantly looking at the sky waiting and often hoping for a change. It was Autumn after Mum’s funeral when I really didn’t feel like painting for a while when Soph reached out and invited me join her for this exhibition. My knee jerk reaction was ‘probably not this year’ and then I looked out the window and I felt a real nudge from above. Mum would have wanted me to continue doing what we loved so much. I still find myself looking at the sky, wishing for change but instead of dwelling on the clouds that have slipped away, I find myself focusing on the next weather front.
